Description

Our Corporate Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who can be instrumental to the internal and external financial reporting and analysis of our $3 billion global organization. This role works with the rest of the finance organization to consolidate the financial statements to support quarterly and annual SEC filings and will work cross functionally across various global departments including direct interaction with the Global Finance Leadership Team.

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

  • Preparing global financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Owning complex accounting areas requiring professional judgment and estimation.
  • Performing technical accounting analyses, drafting supporting documentation, and participating on cross-functional project teams for non-routine transactions.
  • Analyzing financial results and preparing monthly business and management reports.
  • Supporting external reporting requirements, including preparation of report packs and footnote support for HNI Form 10-Q and 10-K filings.
  • Collaborating with global finance partners and other functions to support accurate financial consolidation and reporting.
  • Leading or supporting ad hoc projects and technical deep dives across accounting and finance topics.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience; public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to complex accounting topics
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences
  • Ability to analyze business and financial information to support sound decision-making
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, assess resources, and define next steps


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in public accounting
  • Advanced education or credentials demonstrating technical accounting expertise (e.g., MBA, MSA, CMA, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting
