OVERVIEWGeneral Mills Treasury is seeking a highly motivated treasury professional for the role of Senior Treasury Analyst, North America Treasury Operations. At General Mills, the Treasury team creates shareholder value by optimizing GMI's capital structure while flawlessly executing its fiduciary responsibilities. This includes efficiently managing cash flows, managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk, and protecting GMI's financial assets. Treasury roles are highly technical and build strong knowledge of financial markets and cash management.
The Senior Treasury Analyst plays a key role supporting the function by securing capital to fund business operations, executing on cash management activities, handling bank relationships and monitoring financial risks for the North America region. This role also supports strategic corporate projects and partners with our treasury centers across the globe.
In this role, you will gain extensive experience in treasury operations and broad exposure to external banking partners and financial markets. This role builds functional experience in forecasting cash flows, issuing debt, managing derivatives, and supporting critical corporate initiatives such as M&A.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Manage the daily funding of bank accounts, including issuing Commercial Paper and investing excess cash to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity
- Build and maintain a long-term cash forecasts with inputs from various sources
- Remediate failed payments and fraud attempts
- Own the compliance and testing of SOX controls related to debt covenants, banking websites and cash movement
- Independently lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to Treasury optimization through process improvements and automation
- Liaise with banks for operational services, including administrative oversight of bank accounts
- Partner with international treasury teams and domestic business partners to execute on high-profile initiatives, including bond offerings, share repurchases, legal restructuring, system upgrades, and M&A activity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- B.S. or B.A. degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance or operations experience
- Basic understanding of cash management, banking, debt instruments and derivatives
- Strong analytical skills, including a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to summarize complex concepts and build management-level reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exhibited a high degree of situational agility and change management
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Treasury operations, cash management or cash forecasting experience
- SAP experience
- CTP or CFA

SALARY RANGEThe salary range for this position is:
$82,400 - $123,800 Annual
