Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sr Facilities Project Manager for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under the guidance of the Department Head/Director, the Senior Facilities Project Manager coordinates, develops, designs, and budgets renovation projects throughout the University.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Interfaces with adynamic team of University technical staff, including project management, maintenance, safety, controls, commissioning, and utilities groups, to ensure that projects are implemented properly from conception through final acceptance.
- The Sr. Project Manager runs anywhere from 5 -15 projects in various stages of Design and Construction with minimal supervision from the Director.
- The Sr. Project Manager needs to be highly motivated, organized, and persistent with follow-up to keep projects on schedule and under budget.
- The Sr. PM is responsible for Millions of dollars of design/construction work per year.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the design and construction process.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the industry as a project manager, architect, or engineer.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to coordinate and execute multiple, simultaneous projects, anticipating project needs and maintaining effective communication with all involved parties throughout the process.
- Must possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be familiar with the design and construction process.
Preferred Qualifications - A degree in Architecture/Engineering or Construction Management and 5 years' experience in Higher Education.
Equipment Utilized - Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Project/work order management software
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Must be able to physically get around a worksite.
