In this vital role you will support Drug Substance Operations by driving manufacturing performance, capacity optimization, labor productivity, and operational excellence initiatives. You will apply Industrial Engineering principles, Lean methodologies, and advanced analytical tools to improve throughput, resource utilization, and operational effectiveness across manufacturing and support functions.
- Conduct capacity assessments, equipment/labor modeling, staffing analyses, and operational readiness evaluations to support business objectives.
- Develop and implement solutions that improve throughput, reduce work-in-process inventory, and enhance productivity.
- Optimize equipment utilization, process area capacity, manufacturing performance, and facility space utilization.
- Support strategic planning activities through quantitative analysis and scenario modeling.
- Perform facility layout, workflow, and resource optimization analyses.
- Support new product introductions and technology implementations by assessing impacts to capacity, staffing, and manufacturing systems.
- Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Development organizations to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and support implementation of Visual Management, 5S, Standard Work, and Mistake Proofing practices.
- Communicate recommendations, project updates, and performance metrics to functional leaders.

Basic Qualifications:- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Engineering and/or Manufacturing experience OR
- Associate's degree and 8 years of Engineering and/or Manufacturing experience OR
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Engineering and/or Manufacturing experience OR
- Master's degree and 2 years of Engineering and/or Manufacturing experience OR
- Doctorate degree
Preferred Qualifications:- Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing operations.
- Experience with capacity planning, labor models, and operational analysis.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with data analytics, visualization, and statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of AI and digital solutions to improve operational performance.
- Experience with simulation and planning tools such as Virtecs, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong facilitation and project management skills.
- Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective influencing and persuasion skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
