The Role
Moderna is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive the product roadmap, strategy and delivery of digital manufacturing data systems, including continuous historians, visualization dashboards, reporting applications, and analytical platforms. The individual will lead strategic programs, evaluations, and lifecycle maintenance of digital manufacturing data systems. This position is based in Norwood, MA.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Lead in the creation of project deliverables including design documents, configuration build, installation and validation activities as required by the Reporting and Analytics
Collaborate with customers and stakeholders across the network to deliver global solutions
Ensure technical delivery of Data Historian System, Reporting and Analytics digital product to meet business objectives
Perform product evaluation, product enhancements and capabilities, implementing upgrades as necessary
Support initial and routine upgrade system risk assessment and testing activities
Conduct user-training sessions for staff members
Deliver code enhancements for software builds which may include refactoring or deprecating existing code; complexity will depend on job level
Follow an established procedure to diagnose and identify the root cause of problems with existing software
Mentor and train fellow Engineers
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technology or scientific field
A minimum of 5 years of experience providing information systems solutions and support to manufacturing organizations in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries.
Working understanding of cGMP and manufacturing operations and practices
Knowledge of ISA-95 standards
An understanding of computer systems validation practices (GAMP)
Experience with mix of XML, XSL, SQL, and GraphQL technologies
Experience with MQTT, OPC UA
Experience with OSIsoft PI System and Emerson DeltaV
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System
Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau, Power BI
Experience with analytical and predictive software solutions such as SIMCA.
Experience with Informetric suite of products (InfoBatch, InfoLog) or other reporting tools
Experience communicating with application users to understand and collect their requirements and requests
Experience in a regulated environment
Experience working in a matrixed organization
