Position SummaryThe Senior Director, Human Resources serves as a key member of the HR leadership team and strategic partner to senior executives across Michael Foods. This role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen employee relations, talent development, leadership capability, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and HR governance.
As a trusted advisor, you will influence business decisions, coach leaders through complex organizational challenges, and develop innovative people solutions that drive performance, engagement, retention, and long-term business growth.
What You'll DoOversee Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for employee relations, workplace investigations, employment practices, and HR compliance.
- Provide strategic consultation and guidance to leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
- Partner closely with Legal and other stakeholders to manage sensitive employment matters and mitigate organizational risk.
- Identify trends and root causes behind employee relations issues and implement proactive strategies that strengthen culture and reduce recurring concerns.
- Establish and maintain consistent HR practices, policies, and governance standards across the organization.
Drive Strategic HR Transformation & Enterprise Programs- Lead enterprise HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, organizational capability, and workforce readiness.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts that strengthen HR service delivery, governance, and operational excellence.
- Partner with leaders to embed Michael Foods' Build Winning Teams philosophy throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Lead innovation efforts, including adoption of AI-enabled HR solutions that improve productivity, employee experiences, workforce insights, and business outcomes.
Advance Leadership Development & Organizational Capability- Lead the team to provide strategic leadership for learning and development, succession planning, workforce development, and leadership effectiveness programs.
- Identify organizational capability gaps and develop targeted development strategies.
- Partner with leaders to build leadership pipelines and strengthen succession readiness.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and career development.
- Lead workforce planning efforts that support current and future organizational needs.
Serve as a Strategic HR Business Partner- Partner with senior leaders to develop workforce strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
- Drive talent management, succession planning, organization design, and change management initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and performance improvement efforts across multiple business functions.
- Collaborate with Operations HR leaders to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise HR strategies throughout the organization.
- Anticipate workforce trends and develop proactive solutions that address evolving business needs.
Influence Talent Strategy- Provide strategic oversight and direction for enterprise talent acquisition initiatives.
- Lead recruiting leadership to strengthen workforce planning, talent pipelines, and hiring strategies.
- Support executive recruitment, succession planning, and leadership talent development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting effectiveness and candidate attraction strategies.

QualificationsQualifications:Required- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, and employment practices.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience supporting both corporate functions and multi-site operations.
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders in complex organizations.
- Experience leading organizational design, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.
Preferred- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification.
- Experience within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or industrial environments.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or large-scale organizational transformations.
