Sr. Director, Global Defense Sales, Asia Pacific

Position Summary: The Sr. Director, Global Defense Sales at SIG SAUER will lead sales and strategic initiatives across selected global countries, including, but not limited to, countries within the ASIA Pacific region. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, develop markets, and manage high-performing teams. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, sales expertise, operational excellence, and P&L awareness to meet and exceed organizational goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in developing drive growth in the short, mid-and long-term growth across key markets.
  • Set and oversee forecasting methodologies, ensuring alignment with targets established by the Executive Vice President, and influencing long-range planning.
  • Ensure the achievement of annual sales targets and organization objectives, working with product managers in the USA to identify solutions to potential product gaps.
  • Proactively assesses, anticipates, and mitigate business risks, providing guidance to leadership to safeguard revenue and budget objectives.
  • Represent SIG SAUER at key industry events to enhance brand visibility, support marketing initiatives, and drive product adoption.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to resolve product quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Serve as a senior strategic liaison between the global commercial business and Sig Sauer's headquarters in the USA to ensure seamless communication and alignment of priorities, and escalation of critical issues.
  • Advise and support the Executive Vice President on high-impact initiatives, contributing to cross regional strategy execution and operational alignment. .
  • Monitor and facilitate the flow of information between HQ and the global team to maintain alignment on timelines, product availability, and business objectives.
  • Attend trade shows, fairs, and events as need to support business goals.
  • Maintain compliance with 5S standards,
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.


Education/Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field, 12-15 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, or related global defense functions or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of senior level experience in leading high-impact sales strategies, market development, and strategic global development in defense or similarly complex international environment is strongly preferred.
  • Has direct experience and a high-level understanding of International Defense Industries, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the MoD.
  • Experience-based understanding of the territory strategy, capability, and future force ambition.
  • Effective communicator who can confidently interact with different departments such as executive management, Operations, Sales, Product Management, Marketing and MoD agencies at all levels.
  • Possess excellent people skills, be persuasive and be able to motivate and build strategic partnerships, within industry and government.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-impact sales strategies, driving market development.
  • Advanced understanding of standard business practices related to Sales processes and systems, including sales cycle management, salesforce.com, performance reporting, forecasting disciplines, and territory optimization.
  • Strong forecasting, negotiation, and collaboration abilities, with a proven ability to influence senior level.
  • Skilled and confident in communicating with executive leadership, including presenting strategic recommendations and business outcomes.
  • Strong familiarity with strategic sales tools includes Excel, Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with a proven ability to influence, advise, and communicate effectively with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders across the organization.


Working Conditions:

  • Based in the US, with travel exceeding 50% of the time.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
