Full Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Director, Data Product & Platforms to lead the development and execution of our enterprise-wide Customer Data and Activation Platform strategy. This executive role owns the holistic lifecycle of first-party customer data across our data activation ecosystem-from governance and data quality to strategic audience segmentation, monetization, and activation. You will be responsible for defining the long-term vision for our audience data products and platforms (including CDP, Media, and Measurement systems), managing a portfolio of high-impact use cases, and leading organizational change to ensure our marketing efforts are truly data-driven and deliver maximum ROI.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and Execute Data Strategy
• Define a comprehensive data vision for the Customer Data Ecosystem and marketing platforms that aligns with organizational goals and competitive trends.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for data activation and marketing technology.
Governance and Compliance
• Own the data governance framework for all first-party customer data, including defining core data standards and ensuring adherence to privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
• Implement risk management practices to safeguard data integrity and ethical use.
Platform Roadmap & Portfolio Management
• Oversee the marketing data ecosystem (CDP, Media, Measurement), managing the roadmap for data ingestion, ETL/ELT enhancements, and feature rollouts.
• Lead cross-functional prioritization sessions and manage delivery pipelines (e.g., JIRA) with engineering teams to ensure timely execution and resource alignment.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Research emerging data technologies and trends to maintain a cutting-edge marketing data ecosystem.
• Drive adoption of innovative solutions that improve data quality, integration, and activation capabilities.
Audience Strategy & Monetization
• Define global audience segmentation strategies to optimize marketing performance.
• Identify and execute opportunities for data monetization, leveraging first-party data assets to generate revenue and competitive advantage.
Executive Communication & Influence
• Serve as the primary advocate for marketing data initiatives, presenting vision, impact, and progress to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Build consensus and secure buy-in for strategic priorities across the organization.
Change Management & Adoption
• Lead organizational change efforts to embed data-driven marketing practices and ensure successful platform adoption.
• Promote transparency and information sharing to foster trust and alignment.
Leadership & Team Development
• Provide strong leadership for the data activation and operations function, including team growth and capability building.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Encourage collaboration across data teams (scientists, engineers, analysts) and business units (Marketing, Sales, Product).
Qualifications
• 8+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or data product management, with significant experience operating at a strategic leadership level.
• Comprehensive understanding and strategic experience overseeing major Customer Data, Media, and Measurement Platforms (e.g., CDP like Segment/Tealium, DSPs, DMPs, Web Analytics, Ad Servers) and their complex integration across the marketing technology stack.
• Technical Expertise and Data Literacy including a comprehensive understanding of data analysis techniques, data modeling, data visualization, and data quality.
• Proficiency with analytical tools (SQL, BI tools) for guiding technical decisions.
• Proven success in vision casting, developing and executing complex data strategies, managing a portfolio of projects, and driving organization-wide adoption of new systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent relevant executive experience.
Additional Requirements
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
