Position Description: CGI leads teams that support and modernize multiple cloud-based systems for multi-agency case management using agile DevSecOps practices. We have built, maintained, and enhanced several AWS-hosted solutions for our client, who continues to rely on our teams to address new challenges with modern technologies.
To support continued growth, we are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer who can quickly learn new technologies, enhance existing systems, and understand the client ecosystem. You will automate cloud deployments using CI/CD pipelines and apply test-driven development principles. Taking ownership of program-wide infrastructure initiatives is essential.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Build CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications, and supporting components
• Establish standard CI/CD practices across supported teams and applications
• Optimize system availability while minimizing AWS costs
• Manage security requirements, including patching, to maintain system authorization
• Analyze logs to perform root cause analysis for performance and infrastructure issues
• Participate in design discussions with client technical specialists and other project teams
• Collaborate with agile teams to design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions
• Coordinate integration testing across multiple teams
• Participate in stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of IT experience, focusing on DevSecOps/DevOps and AWS
• Expert skills in Jenkins, GitHub, and Linux administration
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience delivering within Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)
• Extensive experience building AWS application pipelines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired qualifications:
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Prisma Cloud)
• Experience building pipelines for Alfresco, Mulesoft, or Solr
• Experience with Harness.io
• Experience with Amazon EKS
• AWS certification

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 $245,500.00.
