This position is based in our Irvine, California corporate headquarters with the opportunity to work a few days remotely per week.

Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to Drive Global DevOps Excellence at Ingram Micro, a global leader in technology and supply chain services, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join its dynamic and forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of its critical systems.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in advancing Ingram Micro's DevOps culture, working collaboratively with software development and IT operations teams to automate and streamline the entire software development lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, agile environment, contributing to the backbone of a Fortune 500 company.

Your role:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using IaC principles with tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated application and infrastructure deployment using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines DevOps, or similar.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Cloud Platform Management: Administer and optimize Ingram Micro's cloud presence, primarily on Google Cloud GCP, Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure system health and proactive issue resolution.
  • Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices and compliance requirements into the CI/CD process and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with development teams to foster a DevOps mindset and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
  • Stay Current: Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and best practices to improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.


What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with multi-cloud platforms, particularly Google Gloud GCP, Azure, AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
  • Demonstrable experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines DevOps).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
  • Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and deployment patterns.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with database technologies and their administration.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200.00 - $190,700.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
