Job Summary**

Ontada, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Scientist to serve as a technical leader in the development, deployment, and operationalization of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions. This role combines data science expertise with software engineering, cloud architecture, and full-stack application development to transform analytical concepts into scalable, enterprise-grade products.

The successful candidate will partner closely with data scientists, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to build and maintain the applications, infrastructure, and services that enable AI solutions to be delivered at scale. This position plays a critical role in accelerating the adoption of machine learning, NLP, and generative AI technologies across Ontada.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade applications, APIs, and services that support machine learning, NLP, and generative AI solutions.
  • Lead the engineering and operationalization of data science products from prototype through enterprise deployment and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Design and implement full-stack applications, including user interfaces, dashboards, workflow tools, and backend services that enable business consumption of AI solutions.
  • Develop reusable software components, frameworks, and cloud-based services that accelerate data science solution delivery across multiple initiatives.
  • Build and support data processing pipelines, integrations, and workflows leveraging Databricks, Azure, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment processes to ensure reliability and scalability of data science applications.
  • Support the deployment, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management of machine learning and generative AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and compliance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the organization's AI and analytics innovation roadmap.

Job Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience developing and supporting production software applications, analytics platforms, AI solutions, or cloud-based data products.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, testing frameworks, version control, and code quality practices.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend application architectures.
  • Experience developing full-stack applications using modern web technologies and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and large-scale data processing environments.
  • Experience building and supporting data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, NLP, generative AI, LLM integration, vector databases, retrieval architectures, or MLOps frameworks.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, technical leadership capabilities, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions in a collaborative environment.
