Sr Data Scientist

  • Design, develop, and maintain data products, AI-enabled applications, dashboards, and automation solutions using Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and modern development frameworks.
  • Build and support Generative AI solutions that automate knowledge-intensive processes, document generation, information extraction, workflow assistance, and decision support.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, APIs, integrations, and backend services that enable reliable and scalable delivery of data and AI products.
  • Design and implement solutions that integrate data from enterprise systems, including clinical, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and operational platforms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify opportunities for automation, and translate business problems into technical solutions.
  • Build user-facing applications and interfaces that enable business users to access data, insights, AI capabilities, and operational workflows.
  • Develop tools that improve operational efficiency by reducing manual work, standardizing processes, and enhancing data accessibility.
  • Partner with data engineers, architects, digital technology teams, and business subject matter experts to deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and sustainment.
  • Apply data science, analytics, and AI techniques to generate insights, improve business processes, and support operational decision-making.
  • Establish and promote best practices for software development, AI development, source control, testing, documentation, and solution governance.
  • Ensure solutions meet data quality, compliance, validation, and governance requirements in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project updates, recommendations, and business value effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and digital approaches to identify opportunities for innovation and business impact.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Data Scientist experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Data Scientist experience
OR
Associate's degree and 8 years of Data Scientist experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Data Scientist experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or other regulated environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for application development, automation, data processing, AI solutions, and analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data modeling, optimization, and large-scale data processing.
  • Experience developing AI-enabled applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI technologies, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent-based systems, or related technologies.
  • Experience building business applications using frameworks such as Streamlit, Dash, React, or similar web application technologies.
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS, Azure, cloud-native services, and modern data platform architectures.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs, system integrations, backend services, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, workflow orchestration, data quality monitoring, and automated data processing.
  • Experience developing dashboards and analytical solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices including Git, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and release management.
  • Experience working with enterprise operational systems such as SAP, manufacturing systems, quality systems, clinical systems, or supply chain platforms.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy solutions in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver solutions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Experience operating as both a technical contributor and product owner, balancing technology decisions with business priorities.
  • Passion for applying AI, automation, analytics, and software engineering to solve real-world business problems.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
