Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location (city, state): Arlington, TX

Assignment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Target Pay: $100,000 - $122,000 plus 10% bonus

Work Schedule: Onsite Monday-Thursday; remote Friday.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to develop reliable data pipelines, strengthen data models, and integrate information from multiple business systems into Snowflake. The role centers on SQL development, Python automation, ETL processes, and dbt transformations. The ideal candidate brings strong Snowflake expertise, works independently, and helps establish consistent engineering practices while supporting the transition from legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain data ingestion workflows connecting SQL Server, PostgreSQL, APIs, and other applications to Snowflake.
  • Write advanced SQL and build dbt transformations that deliver usable datasets for reporting, marketing, and customer analysis.
  • Develop Python scripts to automate extraction, processing, and movement of data between systems.
  • Structure data models that improve accessibility, consistency, and query performance.
  • Track pipeline reliability, investigate data discrepancies, and resolve production issues.
  • Improve processing efficiency and manage platform costs through tuning and optimization.
  • Help transition existing on-premises warehouse processes to the cloud data environment.
  • Support customer data integrations and datasets used for marketing campaigns and activation.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to define requirements, review code, and share technical guidance with other engineers.

Qualifications:
  • At least five years of professional data engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on Snowflake knowledge, including data modeling and platform performance.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience developing complex data transformations.
  • Practical Python programming experience for data processing and pipeline automation.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows across multiple source systems.
  • Working knowledge of dbt and modern data modeling practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures and improve data quality.
  • Ability to take ownership of technical work and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, API integrations, cloud migrations, or customer data platforms is a plus.
