Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Data Analyst to join the Financial Analytics team. This role serves as a critical bridge between Finance and Data Engineering, taking the lead on next-generation external investor reporting and owning internal metrics that drive business decisions.

Office Location

Lehi, UT or San Francisco, CA; 3-5 days/week (subject to change)

Core Responsibilities
  • External Reporting: Own development life-cycle of detailed external investor reporting (SQL).
  • ERP Migration & Refactoring
    • Refactor existing reports to support major ERP upgrade and seamless transition (SQL).
    • Lead post-migration refactoring of curated data layers for efficiency (SQL, dbt).
  • Demand Management (Slack/Google, Jira)
    • Manage intake of critical issues (broken reports, audit requests, access issues).
    • Incorporating new funds, products, projects into department roadmap.
  • Strategic Metrics: Take ownership of creating/revamping internal financial metrics (SQL, Tableau).


Technical Requirements (Hard Skills)
  • Expert SQL:You are beyond "complex selects." You can build tables, optimize tools, and architect data structures. (Snowflake is strongly preferred).
  • Excel/G-Sheets:Advanced proficiency in Excel for testing and quick turn around analysis; familiarity with Google Sheets is a plus.
  • dbt (Data Build Tool): Proficiency in developing modular, version-controlled models for scalable data transformations.
  • Tableau:Intermediate skills in Tableau to build dashboards that tell a story.
  • Agile Tools: Experience with Jira and GitHub for change management and version control.

  • Dynamic Collaborator: Comfortable autonomously navigate legacy code and structure independent work plans while driving high-standard peer reviews.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows, or possess the agility and "growth mindset" to rapidly master new AI technologies as they are integrated into Sunrun's operations.


Experience
  • Education:Bachelor's in a quantitative field (CS, Finance, Engineering, etc.).
  • Career: 3 - 5 years in data analysis, focusing on FinOps (AR, Billing, Collections, Asset Management).

Plus:Working knowledge of Hightouch, Python, Oracle Cloud, Anaplan, SOX Controls

$110,232.67 to $146,976.89
