WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Sr. Culture, Engagement & Belonging Manager is responsible for advancing HCA's culture, belonging, engagement, and employee experience strategies. This role provides enterprise-level program leadership and subject-matter expertise to support the activation of HCA's Cultural Framework, strengthen leadership capability, foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace, and enhance employee engagement and belonging. Working in close partnership with HR and business leaders, this role develops and drives scalable initiatives that embed HCA's Purpose, Vision, and Values throughout the employee experience. The role influences outcomes through strategic consultation, facilitation, data driven recommendations, cross-functional partnership, and execution of enterprise programs across culture activation, leadership development, talent review and succession planning support, employee listening, inclusion, and community engagement.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

1. Cultural Framework Activation & Sustainment

  • Drive the activation and ongoing sustainment of HCA's Cultural framework, ensuring alignment with the organization's Purpose, Vision, Values, and leadership expectations.
  • Develop and implement culture initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, belonging, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to integrate desired cultural behaviors into leadership practices, talent programs, communications and business routines.
  • Analyze employee feedback, engagement data, and organizational insights to assess culture health and recommend actions that support continuous improvement.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise, tools, and facilitation support to help leaders reinforce culture priorities across teams and business functions.


2. Leadership Development & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to strengthen leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and culture stewardship across the enterprise.
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of leadership development, talent review, succession planning, and high potential talent programs.
  • Develop and facilitate initiatives that enhance leader effectiveness, accountability, employee engagement, team effectiveness, and change leadership capability.
  • Provide strategic consultation and facilitation to leaders on culture, organizational development, employee engagement, team effectiveness, and change adoption.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using data, stakeholder feedback, and external best practices to recommend improvements that strengthen leadership and workforce outcomes.


3. Belonging, Inclusion & Employee Engagement

  • Drive initiatives that advance belonging, inclusion, employee engagement, and connection across the organization in alignment with HCA's Cultural Framework and employee experience objectives.
  • Provide program leadership and governance support for Employee Resource Groups, including annual planning, engagement priorities, KPI tracking, executive sponsorship coordination, reporting, and enterprise-wide activations.
  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and employee groups to integrate inclusion and belonging principles into leadership practices, talent initiatives, employee programs, and day-to-day business operations.
  • Lead employee listening and engagement efforts, including surveys, focus groups, action planning, and analysis of workforce insights.
  • Translate employee feedback and engagement data into practical recommendations that improve culture, retention, belonging, and organizational effectiveness.


4. Community Engagement & Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Develop and manage community engagement and volunteer initiatives that reflect HCA's values, culture objectives, and employee experience priorities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external organizations to drive meaningful employee volunteerism and community impact programs and purpose-driven engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinate company-sponsored community service initiatives, employee giving efforts, and related communications in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Create opportunities for employees and leaders to strengthen connections to HCA's purpose through community involvement.
  • Track, measure and report on participation, impact and effectiveness of community engagement initiatives to inform future planning and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in employee experience, culture, organizational
    development, employee engagement, inclusion and belonging, leadership development, or a
    related HR discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or cross-functional programs that improve culture,
    engagement, employee experience, leadership effectiveness, or inclusion outcomes.
  • Experience advising and influencing HR, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
    through data-driven recommendations, facilitation, and program execution.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and measuring employee programs, engagement initiatives, or
    organizational effectiveness solutions in a complex business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification in organizational development, change management, coaching,
    leadership development, diversity and inclusion, or employee experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of culture activation, employee engagement, employee listening,
    organizational development, leadership development, and inclusion/belonging practices.
  • Ability to translate enterprise strategy and workforce insights into scalable programs, tools,
    recommendations, and action plans.
  • Strong consultative and facilitation skills with the ability to influence leaders and stakeholders without
    direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, feedback, and external best practices to assess program
    effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for
    executive, leader, and employee audiences.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple enterprise
    initiatives, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships across HR, business functions, employee groups, and external
    partners.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee, leadership, and
    organizational information.
