You’llbe joining CIBC’s Enterprise Innovation team, supporting the Director, Strategy & Engagement. As theSr. Consultant, Innovation Events & Communications you will be working with partners with internal teams tofacilitatethe execution of multiple high profileevents, acting as the central pointof contact throughout the event planning process. The role will be applying strong relationship management skills in order tonegotiate and resolve conflicts and manage community involvement. Acting as a resource integrator for their area, the role oversees the communication of events and provides post-event reporting.

How you'll succeedEvent execution and ownership – help plan, coordinate and run innovation-focused events and engagements from start to finish. You’ll manage timelines, workbacks, speaker logistics, run-of-show details and post-event follow-ups to make sure each experience is well organized, professional and impactful.
Executive communications – support the development of clear, polished communications for senior leaders and key stakeholders, including briefing materials, event messaging, speaking notes, updates and recap materials that help tell the story of the team’s work and impact.
Organization and attention to detail – bring structure and follow-through to a fast-moving portfolio of events, communications and team priorities. You’ll keep details on track, manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and ensure reporting captures the outcomes and value delivered by the Enterprise Innovation team.
Relationships and teamwork – build strong relationships with internal partners, Corporate Events, Facilities, technology teams and team members to deliver high-quality in-person, virtual and hybrid experiences. You’ll work collaboratively, support your peers and help create a smooth experience for speakers, leaders and attendees.
You can demonstrate 5 years of relevant work experience of: running events end to end. Being familiar with run-sheets, managing deadlines and detailed workbacks are an asset to this role. And have a passion for creating memorable and impactful experiences for people.
