What you'll be doing

As a Sr. Consultant, Generative AI, you'll join a forward-thinking technology team dedicated to designing, building, and maintaining scalable generative AI applications. Leveraging your expertise in Python, Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, and modern cloud and AI technologies, you'll set technical direction, ensure best practices, and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment. Your leadership will be critical as you guide developers through the end-to-end delivery of robust, microservice-based solutions, manage project timelines, and drive continuous improvement. You'll work closely with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable tasks. Your role will also involve championing quality assurance, adopting innovative tools and practices, designing and implementing microservice architecture patterns, and integrating cutting-edge AI and cloud technologies to optimize application performance.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Technical Leadership - Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and architecture.
  Project Delivery - Oversee end-to-end project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, allocate tasks, monitor progress, and remove blockers.
• Quality Assurance - Champion test-driven development, oversee unit and front-end testing (Cypress), and drive resolution of complex technical issues.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, driving adoption of new tools and promoting a culture of learning.
• DevOps & Agile Practices - Guide the team in implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Agile methodologies for continuous delivery.
• AI & Cloud Integration - Lead the integration of generative AI technologies, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, prompt engineering, and Azure cloud services.

Who you are

• You're an experienced Sr. Consultant in Generative AI. You bring proven leadership and mentorship abilities, with a strong background in Python and Vue.js.
• You're technically proficient. You have extensive hands-on experience with FastAPI, advanced Git workflows, and both front-end and back-end development principles.
• You're quality-focused. You understand unit testing, front-end testing (Cypress), and quality assurance best practices to ensure robust solutions.
• You're innovative and adaptable. You stay current with generative AI technologies, RAG techniques, prompt engineering, and Azure cloud services.
• You thrive in Agile environments. You have experience leading Agile teams and implementing modern DevOps practices.
