What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining the Enterprise Technology team within CIBC. As the Sr. Consultant, Data Developer you’ll be a key part of an innovative, “first to market” technology culture, contributing to key CIBC’s strategies such as digital transformation, cloud migration, automation. As a Sr. Consultant, Data Developer, you’ll be part of Enterprise Business Intelligence Technology team delivering and managing enterprise-wide BI Services to broad CIBC user community. You will also be on continuous exploration and evaluation of emerging BI technology platforms, as well as cloud solutions. You will facilitate easy to use, customer-centric BI services.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Collaborative Development: Contribute to the BI team goals by collaborating with other functional teams, actively looking for continued improvements in functionality, stability, capacity and performance of the BI services.

  • Programming Ability: Perform, coordinate and facilitate changes to the services as required. Develop and deliver BI reports, dashboards, workflows for the home department and business partners as required. Provide guidance to users on features and capabilities to assist them in timely solution delivery. Strive to automate relevant processes for efficiency and cost savings.  

  • Project Delivery and Influence: Actively participate and contribute to project activities and deliverables to ensure overall quality solution delivery that aligns with business and project requirements. Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems in the services and underlying technologies.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in: 5+ years of cloud solution designing and implementation experience. Good understanding of Azure Cloud system architecture and cloud based data platform solutions. Established design and administration experience of business intelligence platforms and systems(Power BI/Fabric, Databricks, Alteryx, SAS Viya) . Good understanding of underlying technology infrastructure, concepts of service availability, capacity, service continuity management. You have strong experience of various databases (SQL). General understanding of cloud computing, application integration (JSON, RESTFul API’s / web services).
