What you'll be doing

Simplii Financial is a modern, customer-first organization, where exceptional experiences are built on strong processes. As a Senior Business Consultant, you'll be embedded within a squad, leading end-to-end business analysis activities with clear ownership. You'll transform complex business and customer needs into actionable requirements, identify sources of friction in existing processes, and design improvements to make banking clearer, faster, and easier for our clients. You’ll collaborate closely with product, technology, operations, and partner teams, bringing structured problem-solving, Agile fluency, and a high standard of analytical rigor to every task. You’ll also contribute to elevating the quality of the Business Analysis practice by coaching colleagues, establishing standards, and driving continuous improvement. Supported by your Director for craft development and career growth, you’ll be accountable to your squad for the quality and impact of Business Analysis work that supports the outcomes it delivers each day.

At Simplii Financial, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Business Analysis and Delivery Leadership – Lead requirements and process activities for complex initiatives, taking clear ownership of scope and outcomes. Be accountable for the Business Analysis contribution to squad outcomes by ensuring requirements, process insights, and recommendations are clear, actionable, and aligned to business and customer needs. Set quality standards for business analysis work within the squad and guide others toward best practices, ensuring deliverables are accurate, actionable, and directly useful.

  • Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement – Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across the squad. Champion Agile methodologies, lead process optimization initiatives, and foster a culture of shared responsibility for analysis quality.

  • Stakeholder Partnership – Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. Influence decisions, lead change management efforts, and ensure recommendations are delivered with the context and credibility needed for action.

  • Strategic and Technical Acumen – Bring deep understanding of business drivers and technical considerations to every engagement. Translate ambiguity into actionable guidance, anticipate organizational needs, and connect analysis to business strategy and customer outcomes.

  • Documentation and Quality – Produce concise, high-quality documentation including requirements, process flows, decision models, and supporting artefacts that accelerate team decision-making and reduce complexity. Demonstrate proficiency in modern business analysis and collaboration tools, including Jira and Confluence.

  • AI and Continuous Learning – Lead adoption of AI-driven tools and methodologies within your squad, champion innovation and continuous learning, and identify opportunities to improve the speed, quality, and impact of analysis work.

  • Practice Leadership and Capability Building – Act as a senior Business Analysis practitioner within the squad and broader practice by setting a high bar for analysis quality, sharing expertise, guiding others, and helping strengthen team capability. Lead through influence, mentorship, and example, contributing to consistent practices and strong delivery outcomes.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 8+ years of experience in business analysis, process engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional delivery in a regulated financial services environment. Certifications in Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma are an asset.

  • You put the customer first, always. You understand that the requirements you define and the processes you design shape how real customers experience Simplii. You keep their perspective at the centre of your analysis and advocate for solutions that minimize friction.

  • You turn ambiguity into clarity. You are a structured, confident communicator who can take a complex, poorly defined problem and bring calm, clarity, and actionable direction. Teams rely on you to help them move forward when they are stuck.

  • You think in systems. You naturally see how people, process, data, and technology connect across an end-to-end workflow. You look for upstream causes before recommending downstream fixes, designing solutions that are simple, scalable, and grounded in business value.

  • You hold a high bar. You produce concise, well-structured documentation and analysis that accelerates decision-making. You actively raise the standard of work around you through coaching, feedback, and example.

  • You bring people with you.You build trust quickly across functions, earn stakeholder confidence through transparency and follow-through, and guide teams toward shared understanding and aligned decisions, even when the path is not obvious. You use your experience to share expertise and strengthen capability across the team, helping elevate the quality of work through influence, mentorship, and example.

  • You are curious and growth-minded. You are open to new tools, including AI-enabled methods, and continuously look for ways to improve the speed, quality, and impact of your work and your team’s work.
