As a Buyer, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.
In this role, you will work with partners to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. You will participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.
Responsibilities:- Lead Site Supplier Performance and Relationships for the Actives category
- Own procurement process for designated areas and accounts
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs
- Support the execution of Global Procurement strategies
- Handle cost saving initiatives and metric
- Implement cost savings and process improvement programs
- Have deep knowledge to serve as a consultant for procurement process and supplier issues.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing or related field in semiconductor industry.
- Proven strength in complex problem-solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive resolution in challenging situations.
- Experience in external-facing roles, advocating for Micron's interests while maintaining confidentiality and managing supplier expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience working in a semiconductor environment.
- Experience working in a customer success or supply management role.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$70,000.00 - $157,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
