SummaryAbout the Role: - The Senior Business Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing a variety of business activities within the LifeBridge Health Medical Group, but not limited to the following: budget preparation and oversight, clinical and practice operations review, professional revenue cycle management, financial performance monitoring and reporting, business planning, maintenance of monthly financial & operational dashboards, and provider compensation plan review, planning, and benchmarking. The Senior Business Analyst will independently lead development of business plans, department budgets, and operational reviews, among other potential projects while working with Medical Group stakeholders directly through project completion. The Sr. Business analyst will monitor and review recurring financial reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency opportunities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assists AVP with preparation of annual budgets, ongoing monitoring of performance, creation and distribution of financial reports.
- Partners with Service Line leaders to set annual budgets, monitor performance and provides variance assessments to ensure appropriate corrective action.
- Prepares, validates and distributes recurring and ad-hoc financial reports across the Medical Group, including P&L's, professional volume, KPI's, and scheduling and provider template data.
- Uses financial reports and other sources to identify areas of opportunity for improvement in financial performance.
- Monitors financial reports for accuracy and for opportunities to add, remove, update reports to better meet the information needs of Medical Group Leadership.
- Support Service Lines with professional revenue cycle reporting, including Business Intelligence Tool ("BI Tool" in conjunction with professional revenue billing team.
- Run recurring and ad-hoc professional revenue reports using Business Intelligence Tool.
- Train Service Line leaders on utilization of BI Tool.
- Work with professional revenue billing team and Service Line leaders to optimize revenue cycle process, including attending monthly billing meetings, reviewing billing work flows, and monitoring denial and AR volume.
- Attend monthly revenue cycle meetings between Service Lines and PDI.
- Develops business plans for new programs, initiatives and/or recruitments based on Service Line strategy, objectives, resources, and timeframes.
- Assists with data gathering and aggregation to prepare business plans in conjunction with corporate planning team.
- Work closely with Service Line leaders to develop assumptions and details necessary to create accurate proformas for review with Senior leadership.
- Monitors program performance against initially developed plan, projected forecasts and plan assumptions.
- Supports management with operational oversight, project planning and data dashboards from ambulatory provider template management to staffing to inpatient units to census.
- Primary Medical Group resource for recurring and Ad-hoc Cerner reporting needs.
- Continually evaluates existing services and identifies areas of increased operational efficiency.
- Ensures completion of key operational reports such as ambulatory statistical reports, panel size, appointment and procedural disposition, cancelation, show/no-show rates, wRVU trending Identifies, synthesizes, and communicates operational enhancement and efficiency opportunities, as well as associated revenue enhancement.
- Assists with evaluating the operational needs of assigned areas with regards to staffing, finances, facilities, equipment, services etc.
REQUIREMENTS; - Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Experience: 5-7 years of related experience
