What is the opportunity?

The Strategic Execution Team has a mandate to develop and implement a proactive, standardized, and scalable program and project management discipline that drives consistency in the delivery of RBC enterprise strategic initiatives. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the Strategic Execution team as a trusted strategic partner to senior business stakeholders by translating complex initiative challenges and requirements into clear solutions and specifications across multiple divisions. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage cross-functional teams, navigate complex business landscapes, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.

What will you do?
  • Requirements Management: Manage requirements planning, elicitation, documentation, through team meetings, workshops, and interviews. Effectively validate requirements and associated process flows and roadmaps through detailed documentation and presentations to executives and stakeholders, to ensure traceability and alignment with business objectives.
  • Business Process Modelling: Collaborate with stakeholders to create or modify business process maps and roadmaps following RBC standards. Identify opportunities, gaps, dependencies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Business Analysis: Gather, consolidate, and analyze relevant data from various sources to provide meaningful insights that support business decisions and project direction.
  • Project Delivery: Execute end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, success criteria definition, and project execution monitoring. Document and communicate milestones, risks, and business impact across technical and business stakeholder groups.
  • Risk Analysis and Management: Perform thorough risk analysis on requirements and solutions, identifying dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies. Raise, track and escalate risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Identify and prioritize stakeholder requirements, ensuring effective onboarding and communication of project direction. Build trust through reliability and transparency, facilitating workshops and managing conflict resolution. Build influence and drive alignment on complex requirements and solutions. Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other business analysts to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Business Analysis Acumen, Tools & Processes: Utilize and promote the adoption of key enterprise tools and technology such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, and Mural.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience in financial institutions and fast-paced environments
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex stakeholder environments effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Expert time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex initiatives
  • Ability to provide high level key deliverable plan and detail breakdown to user stories and major tasks; providing guidance and leadership through to the team during all project phases; ability to handle pressure with multiple priorities
  • Conduct comprehensive requirements analysis and elicitation across complex, multi-team initiatives with high levels of complexity and uncertainty. Lead the translation of sophisticated business needs into actionable process design and system requirements.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative-taking, and results-driven mindset with minimal oversight required
  • Strong team collaboration skills with openness to innovative problem-solving approaches

Nice-to-have
  • Experience with Iterative, Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and Kanban delivery methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Science, Engineering or related fields
