About the Role

Uber Freight Mexico is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst - Operations I for its Shared Services team. The main objective of the role is to drive the growth of Uber Freight by focusing on supporting cross-functional initiatives and optimizing BPO Operations (Inbound Support, Scheduling, Tracking, etc.). This requires leveraging a strong combination of analytical and operational skills to break down complex challenges and develop deep technical and functional expertise.

The Analyst will be responsible for leading and shaping the strategy to balance costs and service levels. This involves diving deep into both data analysis and operational interaction with customers, internal stakeholders, and front-line operators to generate new strategic insights. The role spans from driving workforce management decisions to establishing performance standards for large teams and creating automations that empower the operation

What the Candidate Will Do
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the main link between teams, ensuring collaboration to improve service quality while controlling costs in external support operations (BPO).
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Define, plan, and report key projects that drive cost savings and service improvements, presenting results to leadership.
  • Data Analysis & Automation: Use reports and dashboards to identify opportunities for improvement and create small automations to streamline daily work.
  • Budget & Workforce Management: Forecast workload, manage headcount within budget, and propose strategies to meet service and cost goals.
  • Technology & Product Support: Partner with product teams to enhance tools and apps, and report technical issues for quick resolution.
  • Project & Change Management: Lead initiatives to solve recurring process problems, especially in inbound support, addressing root causes.
  • Operations Optimization: Work with customer-facing teams to eliminate inefficiencies and improve workflow for a smoother customer experience.
  • External Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with BPO providers, aligning performance, budget use, and staffing with company goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Organize and align multiple teams around shared objectives to ensure coordinated execution.

Basic Qualifications
  • College degree
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, technology, finance or consulting role.
  • General knowledge of the Transportation Industry and/or Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft productivity tools, and Tableau and/or SQL.
  • Experience problem-solving complex issues, delivering unique solutions, and developing/executing end-to-end project proposals.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with supply chain and logistics.
  • Previous experience working with BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) partners.
  • Competency in Business Process Automation software (such as Power Automate or Parabola).
  • College degree in business, supply chain, and/or STEM focus
  • First-hand experience working within the Uber Freight brokerage business unit
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
