07.09.2026 Your tasksThis is a senior-level role for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment and enjoys implementing solutions on real equipment. You'll lead automation projects for major biotech and pharmaceutical clients, working across brownfield integrations (about 70% of our work) and greenfield builds. You'll own everything from design through commissioning, and you'll be the person our clients trust when they need a system to work reliably in a GMP environment.

What You'll Do- Lead the design, implementation, commissioning, and startup of automation and control systems for biotech and pharmaceutical processes.
- Integrate new equipment into existing manufacturing systems and lead greenfield automation builds.
- Develop, review, and troubleshoot automation code, functional specs, and system architecture.
- Write and execute GMP-compliant commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation.
- Serve as a technical leader on client projects, guiding internal teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Work directly on customer sites to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and support production.
- Collaborate with process, equipment, and CQV teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Contribute to building internal standards, best practices, and scalable processes as our team grows.
Your profile- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7-12 years of experience in automation/controls engineering within biotech, pharma, or medical device manufacturing.
- Strong experience with Rockwell Automation (PLC, SCADA, FactoryTalk).
- Experience with DeltaV or the ability to learn it quickly.
- Deep understanding of S88 batch concepts and process automation fundamentals.
- Mandatory GMP experience, including writing and executing qualification protocols.
- Experience with databases (SQL Server), industrial networks/OT, and plant-floor interfaces.
- Familiarity with equipment such as bioreactors, filtration skids, CIP/SIP systems, and hygienic utilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage client expectations, and lead technical decision-making.
- Willingness to travel as needed and be on-site in King of Prussia at least 3 days per week.
