Job Description

As a Sr Application Engineer here at Honeywell, responsible for directing and coordinating customer technical and field engineering support for the Targets business at Honeywell's Electronic Materials (HEM). This is a key technical role to support all technical customer requests, interaction with HEM's key customers, to identify new opportunities and drive results as well as troubleshooting customer issues. You will be closely aligned with product management and regional/strategic account sales. In addition, this role will ensure customers' critical technical requirements (CTQs) are identified clearly and will provide technical inputs to Commercial and R&D teams, based on a deep understanding on customers' application. Ensuring that the company can collectively drive new product developments and expedite qualifications of existing Products.

You will report directly to our Sr Technical Support Manager and you'll work out of our Spokane Valley, WA site on a Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical and Application Support:
  • Provide engineering and process support, trouble-shooting material and process performance, support for product qualifications, execution and reporting on corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain effective applications support for Honeywell's Target products including technology requirements, quality and performance issues, and process integration knowledge
  • Lead field engineering support efforts for targets and related products for the region
  • Own technical support deliverables and ensure customer responsiveness on product applications issues
  • Work closely and communicate with the engineering and manufacturing departments at leading semiconductor companies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key engineers and managers
  • Work "hands-on" with customer engineering and manufacturing departments on product, process and equipment settings in the fab as needed
  • Identify, coordinate, and assess technical performance and risks
  • Understand advanced technologies nodes and processes
  • Responsible for staying current on key technology trends, emerging technologies, and competitor intelligence
  • Work with offering and Program Managers to develop technology roadmaps
  • Provide technical assistance on a regional basis when needed, including technical presentations, and coordinates engineering support (both on-site and remote)
  • Work closely with Sales, Program Managers, and Operations to ensure deadlines are met, and deliverables and corrective actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Travel: Up to 30% US and Europe
  • Relocation support maybe provided


The annual base salary range for this position is $86,400.00- $108,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor industry (major semiconductor manufacturers, OEMs (equipment), or material suppliers)
  • 3+ years of technical experience in metal deposition with a strong knowledge on Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technology
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with metallurgical laboratory evaluation techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and concepts
  • Detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Basic Microsoft Office PC skills
