Full Job Description
Job Summary This position will support Vistra's Wholesale Financial Planning and Analysis team with a focus on the following:

- Driving financial projections, analysis of actual results, and internal / external reporting packages
- Coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders including Commercial, Operations, Accounting, Risk, and Treasury.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support Wholesale financial performance analysis across multiple lines of business and regional markets throughout the country
  • Understand interaction of financial drivers and drill into variances to Plan and prior year to find meaningful business impacts
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and communicate results to business leaders
  • Assist in coordinating and developing budgets
  • Drive process improvements
  • Analyze competitors and energy market dynamics
  • Review budgets and financial plans submitted by lines of business, and provide constructive feedback to businesses
  • Solve problems that require constructive thinking and imaginative approaches using data-driven analysis


Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or other analytical field required
  • 3+ years of progressive Finance / Accounting experience gained through work experience and/or a graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Experience working with data and ability to query and analyze data in an efficient manner
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills
  • Working knowledge of key financial, accounting and business metrics

  • Recognize dependencies and variables in a model or process
  • Ability to interface with and resolve issues with multiple stakeholders
  • Ensures in pursuing the issues and bringing them to resolution
  • Monitor relevant electricity and natural gas markets and work with team members to establish metrics and presentations for tracking trends
  • Hold others accountable, maintain deadlines, and ensure a well-organized process with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ensurethat there are creative controls and validations in financial models, processes, and reports
