Job DescriptionAs a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced aerospace projects, driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives and customer requirements, playing a pivotal role in advancing aerospace technologies.
You will report directly to our Engineering Director, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, new hires will report onsite M-F.
In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by delivering innovative projects that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency of aerospace systems, positioning Honeywell as a leader in aerospace technology.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful and on-time delivery of aerospace projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage program to defined budget, scope, and period of performance, while identifying and mitigating project risks
- Identify and mitigate risks to project success and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal and aerospace industry standards.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in advanced project engineering within the aerospace industry
- 5+ years project management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration
WE VALUE- Advanced degrees such as MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- Experience leading complex aerospace projects and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements relevant to project execution and delivery.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and technology advancement
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
