The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Acquisition Management Analyst designated as Key Personnel to lead lifecycle acquisition efforts for the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this critical role, you will serve as the strategic subject matter expert and primary author for high-visibility program milestones. You will ensure total compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) directives while directly influencing the long-term mission readiness of naval aviation platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, draft, and finalize complex program milestone documentation, ensuring absolute compliance with DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
  • Architect and manage vital defense procurement documentation, including Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASRs), Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), complex funding packages, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBAs).
  • Critically evaluate program procedures, organizational philosophies, and contractor documentation against strict contract specifications and strategic mission requirements to mitigate risk.
  • Synthesize dense program data to author, review, and deliver executive-level briefs, technical point papers, and official NAVAIR correspondence.
  • Serve as a primary representative, providing analytical insight during formal program review boards, milestone conferences, and stakeholder working groups.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Over 10 years of direct experience in DoD acquisition management or program analysis performing the functional duties described above.
  • Exceptional executive writing capabilities, advanced analytical problem-solving, and the leadership presence required to guide deliverables in a high-tempo military program office (PMA).


Desired Experience (Highly Preferred):

  • 5+ years of direct experience supporting NAVAIR, with a proven track record of developing and routing ACAT acquisition milestone documentation.
