Full Job Description
The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Journeyman Configuration Management Analyst to support the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this role, you will maintain rigorous configuration control over critical aviation products, acquisition datasets, and program platforms. You will apply standardized configuration management processes to track modifications and verify engineering documentation, directly contributing to the lifecycle sustainability and fleet readiness of naval aviation assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, organize, and interpret data relating to aircraft, components, and product programs to maintain strict configuration control over baseline acquisition products.
  • Track physical and functional configuration changes over time, establishing and maintaining configuration status accounting records to ensure baseline integrity.
  • Coordinate and support the development, review, and routing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), keeping alignment across program offices and industry partners.
  • Apply government-instituted processes for official documentation control, change management, and comprehensive technical data management.
  • Work alongside engineering and program management teams to review modification impacts and support formal configuration control boards.


Qualifications:
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 to 10 years of direct experience in configuration management, technical data management, or program data analysis-preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or NAVAIR environment.
  • Familiarity with military configuration management standards (such as MIL-HDBK-61A) and defense change control workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency with data systems or configuration management databases.
