Job Description:

Oversees and coordinates all sales and marketing activities for OEM Solutions customers. This position provides account management coverage for OEM and end-users who benefit from the use of Caterpillar solutions and is accountable for delivering the annual business plan and meeting the contractual obligations of our customers.

What You Will Do:
  • Work closely with Caterpillar Dealers and OEM customers to grow awareness of OEM Solutions capabilities and develop strategies to grow sales through the Cat Dealer network and directly to OEM customers.
  • Work with OEMs, Cat dealers, suppliers, and Caterpillar Business Units to develop Caterpillar partial machine and component solutions that maximize aftermarket parts and services business, profits, and customer satisfaction for new and existing business.
  • Understand industry trends and the competitive landscape and communicate to Caterpillar leadership.
  • Act as a consultant to various departments within Caterpillar regarding the direction and strategies that key industry leaders will adopt in the future.
  • Travel in the field to monitor and resolve issues regarding customer satisfaction and future product needs. Develop product support and other types of program planning for assigned customers. Take steps necessary to ensure product health to maintain and enhance OEMS growth.
  • Perform complex and challenging assignments to support Caterpillar OEMS customers in marketing plans, trade shows, industry events, and customer visits/demonstrations that enable strategic growth opportunities
  • Develop business strategies and marketing proposals
  • Develop and achieve sales forecasts


What You Have:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with engineering, technical sales, application specialist, or product group experience preferred. 4-6 years of specific industry experience. Prior Salesforce or similar application experience preferred.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience in facilitating the creation of the 'right' products and services to resolve customer business issues and ability to model the criticality of customer focus as an organizational strategy.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position; ability to communicate downward, upward, and outward; employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting an agreement.
  • Value Selling: Understanding how to acquire and retain customers in multiple settings using 'value selling' techniques; ability to deliver value-added services to customers beyond the delivery of a purchased product, technology, or service consistently; ability to qualify sales prospects based on a clear understanding of customer business needs and the company's determined ability to meet those needs.


What Will Set You Apart:
  • Previous experience selling Caterpillar machines, parts, or services to Cat Dealers and customers. An ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Resource Industry products, including OHT, LMT, WTS, AT, and similar products.
  • Prior experience in customer and Dealer-facing roles.
  • Prior Salesforce Application or similar CRM experience.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growing new business.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Team player with strong accountability
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously


Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
