Overview

To design, develop, and test data transformations processes and related process automation at PHC.  To work with the Manager of Web Application Development in the design, development, testing, maintaining and migrating the databases and its related processes. Works closely with web Development team to maintain databases and its documentation. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, develops, test, and supports web applications using ASP, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JQuery and AJAX.
  • Develops intelligent applications to automate processes and to increase productivity.
  • Designs, develops, test and deploy data transformations using SQL Server SSIS.
  • Design, develop and document existing databases and its schemas.
  • Establish owners for existing databases.
  • Migrate existing SQL Server databases to its most current versions.
  • Play a key role in managing the existing databases and monitor the usage
  • Design and develop reports using SSRS
  • Program data tasks and ad-hoc jobs using SQL Server/ Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures
  • Develop or convert existing DTS packages to SSIS packages.
  • Provide day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of all databases.
  • Create and maintain documentation for applications and databases and participate in team meetings and problem solving discussions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge on ASP.NET, SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS.
  • Owns HSS data updates to AMISYS

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides and carries a cell phone and responds when system needs require it.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.  5 years of web and database development experience.  Managed care experience a plus. Demonstrated experience with large, highly complex projects

 

Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications

5 years of programming experience in ASP.NET, CSharp, and VB.NET. 5 years of experience in developing SSIS packages and managing SQL Server databases. Strong experience in SQL - with an understanding of relational databases, including advanced query writing, table creation and manipulation, query optimization, and code debugging. At least 3 years of experience with Database Development with Oracle, SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008.Experience with SSRS and DTS is a plus.

Certification on either the Microsoft or Oracle platform is plus. Detail oriented. Writing and verbal ability important.

 

Performance Based Competencies

Ability to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of AMYSIS software and managed care issues.  Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret and understand technical requirements. Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve systems problems.

 

Work Environment And Physical Demands

More than 50% of work time is spent at a video display terminal. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systems hardware and other related equipment.
