Qualifications

• Valid California Educational Specialist Instruction Credential for Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Moderate to Severe or Early Childhood Special Education.
• Added Authorization in Autism required.
• EL Authorization is a must.
• Preferred experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills essential for teamwork.
• Organizational skills needed for managing IEP documentation and student progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized academic instruction to meet IEP goals and California State Standards.
• Design and implement individualized and small-group instruction using evidence-based methods.
• Conduct assessments to guide instruction and monitor students' academic progress.
• Develop and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance with IDEA and local regulations.
• Collaborate actively with general education staff, service providers, and families.
• Utilize technology and adaptive tools to make the curriculum accessible for all students.
• Implement behavior supports and classroom management strategies for a positive learning environment.
• Assist with transition planning related to post-secondary goals and vocational readiness.
