Job Description

Employees within the Sourcing Operations Group in the TSO Outsourcing function are responsible for conducting business operations activities supporting outsourcing engagements at external CROs or collaborators. The group is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual to support sourcing operations for PDMB (Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism, and Bioanalytics) Outsourcing. This role partners closely with Outsourcing, Procurement, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of sourcing workflows.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A LABORATORY-BASED POSITION.

Description:
  • Support execution of sourcing workflows and operational activities across external partners, following established processes and procedures
  • Assist with onboarding and maintenance of new and existing CRO partners to meet business needs
  • Partner with procurement to secure agreements, contracts and Ariba workspaces, ensuring compliant supplier transactions
  • Initiate purchase requisitions based on defined scope of work and ensure appropriate documentation is in place prior to project start
  • Track open purchase orders, monitor invoice status, and support reconciliation activities using financial and IT systems
  • Review invoices for accuracy and confirm services/deliverables have been completed/received prior to approval for payment
  • Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and associated forecast details, including POs, invoices, and close-out documentation
  • Partner with Finance to support financial tracking, reporting, and data accuracy (e.g., actuals, accruals, variance inputs)
  • Identify and escalate issues related to sourcing transactions, partner performance, or system workflows in a timely manner
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions, collaborating with outsourcing functions where applicable


Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to follow established processes while appropriately escalating issues or risks
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply guidance in routine to moderately complex situations
  • Familiarity with automated processes, automated data workflows and/or AI-assisted tools in a data-driven environment, with openness to expanding technical capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn


Preferred Experience:
  • Basic understanding of Drug Discovery and Development processes (e.g., DMPK/ADME, bioanalysis, regulated activities)
  • Familiarity with financial or sourcing systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
  • Experience working with data tracking, reporting, or Excel-based analysis
  • Exposure to process improvement or operational support activities


Minimum Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of experience in Drug Discovery and Development, or Master's degree with applicable experience.
