Responsibilities- Serve as both a technical expert and a leader within the Plant. Lead by influence and expertise.
- Plans control strategies for all automated equipment.
- Guide maintenance of controls systems of production machinery to include all PLC driven equipment.
- Assist with design and development of control systems for new equipment and systems.
- Provide guidance on all controls systems.
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair control systems.
- Assist mechanics and provide control logic guidance and training.
- Supervise (dotted line), educate, and train plant personnel.
- Maintain expertise within the Controls Engineer field; stay abreast of new technology, emerging software code, and new equipment.
Qualifications- High degree of knowledge and skill level in programming of motion systems, PLC's, and associated Controls systems.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Allen Bradley.
- 5 years of experience in a Controls Engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of controls systems development methodology.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization.
- Advanced PLC programming skills.
- Leads by accomplishment and example.
- Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, and staff.
- Encourages and motivates others.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
