Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance/permitting experience in the chemical or refinery industry.
• Certified Environmental Professional or equivalent certificate preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, SAP, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for environmental responsibilities within Business Units.
• Monitor state and federal regulatory developments and evaluate their impacts.
• Engage with plant personnel to ensure a consistent understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert in environmental media.
• Manage projects involving contract employees and field activities.
• Develop and manage compliance permits and remediation strategies.
• Create training materials and coordinate training for personnel.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and act as a liaison during inspections.
