Your role at a glanceThe Specialist, Accounting is responsible for executing core accounting operations, supporting statutory and operational financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
This role handles day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support.
The Specialist collaborates across finance and operational teams to maintain accurate records, supports month-end and year-end close, and contributes to process improvements and automation initiatives.
What we are looking for KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Accounting & Journal Entries- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in ledger accounts and journal postings.
- Implement internal controls and standard procedures to ensure integrity of accounting data.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Month-End Closing- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances, and fixed assets.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, preparing journal entries and account schedules.
- Compile documentation and support for financial statement preparation.
- Identify variances and discrepancies, providing explanations and corrective actions where necessary.
Financial Reporting Support- Assist in preparing routine operational and statutory financial reports.
- Support senior accounting staff in compiling accounting packs and schedules for management and auditors.
- Ensure all reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
Process Improvement & Collaboration- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in accounting processes.
- Collaborate with team members and other finance functions to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as requested by management.
KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and general ledger operations.
- Hands-on experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and variances.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting team.
- Good organizational, planning, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance / accounting or related field preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years of experience in general accounting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Exposure to preparing routine financial reports and supporting statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with internal controls, audit support, and accounting documentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
- Perform work during US business hours and time zones.

- Some travel may be required.
- Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.
Compensation Pay Range"This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $99,000.00 - $129,800.00.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
