OpportunityPeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Special Security Technician to support our National Capital Region (Washington, DC) location.
We are looking for a Mid-level Special Security Technician (SST) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency's Strategic Planning and Response for China (SPARC) program in the National Capital Region. This position is contingent upon contract award.
As a Mid-level SST, you will assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in safeguarding access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs) in support of DIA's premier China contingency planning and crisis response program. You will play a direct role in enabling surge readiness by streamlining mass onboarding and security clearance processing for activated personnel following Government execution of a Surge requirement.
Duties:
- Assist the SSO in controlling access to SCI material and SCIFs, including certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances and accesses
- Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material and SSO-related topics
- Support the courier badging process and obtain signed non-disclosure agreements
- Provide guidance and assistance in processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government, and contractor personnel
- Conduct audits of classified material and inspections of classified storage facilities, SCIFs, and containers
- Research and prepare classified material policy, management recommendations, and related reports
- Work closely with the SPARC Senior SST, CMG planners, and DIA SSO to streamline surge capabilities and support mass onboarding when Surge is executed
- Implement security functions and tasks identified in the Contractor Support Plan for mass indoctrination and security clearance management
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3-8 years of relevant SSO/security technician experience with demonstrated recent currency
- Working knowledge of IC and DoD security policies, classification guidelines, and SCI access protocols
- Familiarity with DoD security regulations governing SCI and collateral security processes (ICD 704, ICD 705, and related Executive Orders)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume security workflows in a fast-paced operational environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
Desired Skills:
- DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or willingness to obtain within two years
- Prior experience supporting DIA or CMG security operations
- Experience with surge or contingency onboarding processes

In compliance with the District of Columbia Wage Transparency Act, the salary range for this role is ~$121,000 - $139,000; however, PeopleTec considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and critical skills.
