Under the direction of a Radiologist, Cardiologist, or Medical Imaging Supervisor, assists with complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in both the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Interventional Radiology suites. Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of patient throughput, staff daily work assignments, preparedness of equipment and supplies, and serves as a quality resource for staff. Assists with on boarding of new hires and training of staff.
Hourly Pay Range: $41.56 - $61.30QualificationsEducation:
- Requires an Associate's Degree in Radiography and/or completed certificate program in Radiography
Experience:
- Requires 3 - 4 years of experience. Prefer two (2) years of radiology experience with at least two (2) additional years of special procedure experience.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must have ARRT certification (RT) R and be licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT).
- For internal employees who are cross training into the SPT position, they must begin to record exams upon start date.
- During the 6 month of cross training, employee must apply for the ARRT V.I. or C.I.
- Must have ARRT certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (C.I.) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (V.I.) within 3 years and 6 months of employment in position.
- Requires American Heart Association BLS.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
