Job DescriptionTherapy Source is seeking a full-time
Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services for charter high school students ages 15-22.
This position is for the upcoming year.Special Education Teacher Salary Range: $44-$45 per hour
Special Education Teacher Position Details: - School hours are 7:45am - 1:00pm Monday - Friday, but after-hours help available until 3pm
- Year-round position except for about 3.5 weeks (the last week of June to mid July is a break)
Special Education Teacher Qualification(s): - Must have license in the state of Michigan
- Must have school certification in the state of Michigan
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Special Education Teacher Responsibilities May Include: - Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
- Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
- Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
