Position Overview - Provide specialized instruction and support to students in grades 6-12, adapting lessons and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans, accommodations, and classroom supports that promote student progress and academic success.
- Maintain an active, hands-on presence in the classroom by proactively addressing student needs and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and school staff to support student development and achievement.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required
- Valid New York State Special Education Certification
- 3+ years of special education teaching experience preferred, with experience supporting middle and high school students
