Position Overview- Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom for elementary students with varying disabilities, including autism and developmental delays, using individualized teaching strategies and interventions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals while using assessment and student data to evaluate progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Teach academic, behavioral, social, and executive-functioning skills in a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
- Collaborate with IEP team members, related service providers, families, and general education staff to support student development and achievement.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Active Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement required
- 2+ years of special education teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting students with behavioral and/or emotional disabilities
