Full Job Description
Special Education Teacher in Las Vegas, NV, and provide individualized instruction, build meaningful connections, and help students reach their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.

Position Overview
  • Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to K-11 students with diverse learning and developmental needs, with a caseload of up to 12 students.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with student goals, IDEA requirements, and applicable Nevada standards.
  • Collaborate with families, general education teachers, related-service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive learning and student progress.
  • Adapt curriculum, instruction, and classroom strategies to support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Nevada Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement
  • Experience supporting students with autism is preferred, along with strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive education practices
  • Completion of required Nevada Department of Education (NDE) fingerprinting/background clearance
