Full Job Description
*This position may be eligible for remote work for up to 2 days per week pursuant to the Flexible Work Pilot Program. *

DCWP is seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and discreet Special Advisor to join the Executive team and support the agency's operational and strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the First Deputy Commissioner, the ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, project coordination, written communication, and interpersonal skills, along with sound judgment in handling confidential and time-sensitive matters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Working closely with the First Deputy Commissioner, support agency operations and strategic planning, including coordination and alignment across DCWP divisions.
-Serve as a liaison on interagency operations and oversight matters with OMB, DCAS, the Comptroller, and other oversight agencies.
-Provide project management and tracking support for capital project oversight and facilities/space planning initiatives led by the First Deputy Commissioner.
-Support budget-related analysis, including review of PEG submissions and other budget documents, and assist in preparing related materials and recommendations.
-Draft memos, background documents, briefing materials, presentations, and reports that distill complex operational and policy issues for internal and external audiences.
-At the First Deputy Commissioner's direction, coordinate ad hoc project teams working on cross-divisional initiatives and new agency priorities.
-Track deliverables, deadlines, and follow-up items arising from meetings and interagency initiatives to ensure timely completion.
-Manage the First Deputy Commissioner's calendar, correspondence, and scheduling to ensure alignment with Agency operational and strategic priorities.
-Provide administrative support, including preparing meeting materials, maintaining organized tracking and filing systems, and processing expense reimbursements, work orders, and IT requests.
-Support other agency operations functions and special projects as assigned.
