Afin d'assurer un soutien continu en cours de service à la flotte des Griffon étant donné sa cadence opérationnelle élevée du moment, tout en faisant avancer une multitude de projets liés à l'amélioration de capacités existantes ou à l'intégration de nouvelles fonctionnalités à bord de la flotte, nous devons recourir aux services d'un spécialiste du cycle de vie du matériel.

  • Coordonner / assurer la liaison avec les organismes internes et externes dont le personnel GSA, D Avs SE, DAT, 1 DAC QG, 1 QG de l'escadre, le CETA, LATEF, Ele EEAAT, TPSGC, BTCL, les sous-traitants, unités, etc., au besoin, lors du déroulement d'activités en matière de projets et d'activités GCV;
  • Se pencher sur des questions techniques et conseiller / recommander une ou plusieurs solutions aux problématiques soulevées;
  • Rédiger la correspondance et les documents à l'aide d'ordinateurs et de programmes Microsoft Office de même que de documents d'aéronefs ;
  • Participer à des visites à la suite de problématiques en lien avec les essais ou d'ordre technique ou opérationnel;
  • Élaborer et donner des présentations techniques;
  • Effectuer son travail conformément aux politiques et aux procédures DGGPEA dont les processus AF9000+;
  • Assister et participer à la planification et à l'organisation de réunions et d'examens techniques liés à ses domaines de responsabilité;
  • Surveiller et noter l'état d'avancement des projets assignés;
  • Assurer l'emplacement et l'état des actifs et des pièces de rechange relativement aux systèmes d'aéronefs;
  • Lancer et coordonner les mises à jour et examens d'équipements, et rechercher d'éventuels équipements et systèmes de remplacement ou de rechange;
  • Coordonner les programmes de réparation, de modification et de révision avec les entrepreneurs ainsi que surveiller la livraison de lots ("kits") ou de pièces de modification aux unités sur le terrain;
  • Examiner, étudier et donner suite aux Recommandation de changements aux publications techniques (PCR), RENS, aux Rapports de défaillance précédant l'installation ("PIF") et aux Inspections d'aéronef - changement proposé ("AICP");
  • Élaborer les instructions de modification, les IS et les instructions d'information spéciale et formuler, rédiger, réviser et mettre à jour les commandes techniques en ce qui concerne les systèmes affectés;
  • Aider l'EGE et le personnel des organismes d'essais à la réalisation d'essais de systèmes;
  • Assurer son expertise technique au personnel EGE du CH146 et du DAT pour ce qui est de la sélection et de la mise au point de systèmes liés au domaine avionique;
  • Évaluer les propositions techniques quant à la mise à niveau d'équipements et aux nouvelles exigences en matière de matériel, et formuler ses recommandations en tant qu'expert en la matière;
  • Voir à d'autres services de gestion de projets ou du cycle de vie tels que définis par le responsable technique (RT) du MDN.


Exigences du poste / Qualifications

  • Doit détenir un diplôme d'études collégiales en entretien d'aéronefs.
  • Licence T.E.A. M1 et M2 accompagnée d'une qualification civile convenable pour les aéronefs du modèle 412, ou une certification militaire équivalente obtenue grâce aux formations et à l'expérience acquises des aéronefs CH146 au sein des Forces canadiennes.
  • Au moins huit (8) ans d'expérience en matière d'entretien d'aéronefs, de préférence au sein d'une unité CH146 du MDN ou dans d'autres unités militaires de voilure tournante.
  • Expérience de travail dans des fonctions techniques directement liées à la gestion du cycle de vie des systèmes aéroportés du CH-146 Griffon; ou
  • Expérience préalable en tant qu'ancien SGCVM au sein des Forces canadiennes est un net atout .
  • Excellente connaissance des règlements de navigabilité des Forces canadiennes et des politiques du programme d'entretien est absolument indispensable.
  • Expérience du processus de gestion du changement des aéronefs des Forces canadiennes est un atout.
  • Bonne connaissance de Microsoft Office - Excel, Word.
  • Bonnes aptitudes interpersonnelles et capacité de travailler sous pression.
  • Excellent sens de l'organisation est indispensable.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication, ayant une capacité avérée à donner des présentations aux membres de la haute direction de même qu'aux clients.
  • Connaissance fonctionnelle de l'anglais. Étant donné le besoin de parler et d'échanger périodiquement avec les diverses unités francophones des Forces canadiennes, une connaissance fonctionnelle de la langue française est très souhaitable.

Summary of job description

In order to provide ongoing in-service support to the Griffon fleet, while simultaneously advancing a multitude of projects related to the improvement of existing or integration of new capabilities onboard the fleet, we require the services of a Life Cycle Materiel Specialist - Airframe Specialty (ACS).

  • Coordinate/liaise with internal and external agencies, to include WSM staff, DTAES, DAR, 1 Cdn Air Div HQ, 1 Wing HQ, AETE, LATEF, ATESS, PWGSC, BTCL, contractors, units, etc. as necessary in the conduct of project and LCM activities related to airframe and flight surface systems.
  • Investigate technical issues/problems and advise / recommend and ensure follow up on solutions to problems related to maintenance and support of CH146 airframe and flight surface systems.
  • Coordinate the preparation, the review, and the approval of non-standard repair (NSR) for CH146 Aircraft.
  • Draft correspondence and records related to airworthy technical documentation (Instructions, Directives, change requests);
  • Participate in visits in response to technical, testing, or operational concerns.
  • Conduct work in accordance with Bell corporate and DGAEPM policies and procedures, including AF9000+ processes.
  • Attend and participate in the planning and organization of meetings and technical reviews related to areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor and record the progress of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate repair, modification and overhaul programs with contractors as well as monitor deliveries of modification kits/parts to field units.
  • Review, investigate and action PCR, UCRs, PIFs, CMPC and AICPs.
  • Draft modification instructions, SIs and technical instructions and originate, draft, revise and maintain technical orders as they relate to assigned systems.
  • Assist Equipment Management Team (EMT) and test agency staff in carrying out systems testing within the area of ACS responsibility.
  • Provide technical expertise to CH146 EMT and DAR staff for selection and development activities for ACS related systems.
  • Evaluate technical proposals for equipment upgrades and new requirements and provide recommendations as a subject matter expert.
  • Perform other project / life cycle management services, as defined by the DND Technical Authority.


Minimum required qualifications

  • College degree in aircraft maintenance is required, or equivalent training and experience.
  • AME license M1 & M2 or E with an appropriate civil rating for the Bell Model 412 aircraft, or an equivalent military certification obtained through training and experience in the Canadian Forces for the CH146 aircraft as an ACS Technician.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in conduct of aircraft maintenance, preferably within a DND CH146 unit or within other military rotary wing units.
  • Experience working in a technical capacity directly related to the life cycle management of the systems on board the CH146 Griffon helicopter or prior experience as a LCMM within the Canadian Forces is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Canadian Forces airworthiness regulations and maintenance program policies.
  • Experience with the Canadian Forces aircraft change management process an asset.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to make presentations to Senior Management and customers.
  • Functional knowledge of English. Given the need to interface periodically with various Canadian Forces French language units, functional knowledge of the French language is highly desirable.
