Full Job Description
HDR is seeking a talented Resources Business Group Manager to lead our Southern California practice. The Resources Business Group provides broad engineering, planning, design, strategic communications, and environmental services in addition to a variety of other project and programmatic services to a diverse and established client base across the Southern California.

Through our professional staff, the Resources Business group at HDR provides expert consulting services for the power (delivery, distribution, generation, hydropower), industrial, and waste/recycling markets. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies with the objective of growing our business and continuing to diversify our client base.

Responsibilities also include leading strategic client and project pursuits, managing projects, providing technical services, staff administration, liaising with marketing support services, contract reviews, overseeing quality of deliverables, supervising, and mentoring staff, and coordinating working sharing with staff on the Continental United States. The business group manager prepares annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitors performance of the business group, and sells and wins projects that match the expertise and developmental goals of the staff. This position works reports to the Area Manager and works cooperatively with the Regional Resources Business Group Director and National Directors and other business lines in the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience which include strong leadership experience in providing consulting services (engineering, environmental, or regulatory) for complex projects.
