Job description
Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Sourcing Specialist you'll play a pivotal part on our Purchasing team. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing within Safran Cabin. The Sourcing Specialist is involved in all phases of sourcing requiring the skills necessary to identify cost savings opportunities from program inception through its maturity. The Sourcing Specialist will deploy sourcing strategies defined by the Commodity Managers by reviewing Supplier product onsite. The Sourcing Specialist shall prepare and send out Request for Proposal/ Request for Quotation (RFP/RFQ), negotiate main terms and conditions, prepare the information package to support supplier selection. The Sourcing Specialist must understand the relevant contracts and act as a liaison between specific suppliers and internal program's sales, management, engineering, etc.
In the performance of his/her duties, the Sourcing Specialist shall utilize the tools, methods and processes deployed by Strategic Purchasing as well as assure adherence to and compliance with the applicable Safran Cabin Inc.
This position contributes to our vision by:
• Full ownership for establishing and driving results of sourcing strategy for assigned commodity.
• Support the different Cabin divisions and/or sites in the Americas
• Analyzes spend; determines opportunities, recommends what to buy, how to buy and where to buy.
• Develops an understanding of supplier market economics and implications for procurement and recommends opportunities to reduce costs.
• Actively participates in and supports the development of proposals, strategic planning, and budgeting processes. Conducts comprehensive cost analyses based on current market conditions to inform the creation of proposals that align with program budgets.
• Prepare and deliver a comprehensive presentation on selected Suppliers for final approval from the Sourcing Council as dictated per established process.
• Responsible for reducing Purchase Price Variance (PPV) by validating Standard cost and Contract price alignment and reviewing for discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate ERP records to reflect supplier changes approved by Sourcing Council.
• Review Engineering drawings to identify materials and manufacturing process for potential cost saving opportunities.

The expected salary range for this position is between $70,750 - $111,180 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Education: BS degree in Engineering, Materials or Business (preferred) or equivalent education or experience.
Experience: 5 years' experience in Supply Chain or Materials Management.
• Negotiation skills and business oriented.
• Organized and adaptable to priority changes.
• Ability to manage projects with multi-functional team, identify and recommend resources, identify potential issues/risks, etc.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, technical specifications, technical reports, etc...
• Good understanding of ERP systems principles.
• Notions of contract provisions.
• Ability to produce accurate and reliable reports and data
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
• Fluent communication in English is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience working aircraft OEM
• Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally
• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to develop, implement and monitor corrective action plans
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Knowledge of databases is preferred
