How you'll make an impact in this role

This position resides under The Resource Group, an end-to-end supply chain partner to healthcare organizations across the United States, wholly-owned by Ascension. At The Resource Group, we build strong relationships with provider teams, working alongside them to improve supply chain operations and lower non-payroll expenses, all in support of delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities for this role can be found below:
• Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to mitigate risk and achieve a competitive advantage in total cost, quality, and supply continuity for all healthcare participants.
• Develop defendable and consistent sourcing strategies by reviewing and analyzing sourcing data, market trends, and benchmarking best practices to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of best-in-class value.
• Ensure all sourcing strategies and supply chain processes are consistently applied, transparent, and properly administered in compliance with all internal policies and external regulations, including supporting risk mitigation through contractual reviews.
• Develop and facilitate collaborative working relationships with Legal, Finance, Corporate Risk, and other internal teams, including end-user stakeholders, to ensure contract terms reflect operational, clinical, and financial priorities.
• Perform essential contract management and maintenance tasks, including processing amendments, extensions, and modifications (product additions/deletions), to effectively manage the full contract lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on category strategies and supplier relationship management programs, communicating key performance metrics and the status of process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives to leadership and stakeholders.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
