Full Job Description
Sourcing & Procurement Transformation Manager

You are:

A practiced procurement and supply chain guru. You know how to make supply chains work for clients, so they get what they need when they need it, to make their products with no fuss. You've also got the real life experience and analytical know-how to spot ways to cut hassles and costs. And you've been doing this long enough that people look to you for advice and guidance when it comes to managing teams. In addition, you're just as comfortable explaining the latest and greatest supply chain ideas to senior clients as you are digging into the real world procurement and supply chain problems.

The work:
  • Spot and solve procurement and supply chain problems using your analytical skills to dive into data and check that against the real world
  • Persuade senior managers at the client and Accenture about the benefit of new approaches
  • Decide what methods and procedures to use when completing projects
  • Lead and manage small-to-medium sized teams with diverse backgrounds, skills and knowledge as needed
  • Make sure clients' procurement and supply chain operations support their overall objectives-and be ready to diplomatically challenge old fashioned approaches if needed
  • Give clients insights that help make their companies work better, faster, and more efficiently
  • Use digital tech to help clients find new ways to strategically manage spend, and make their organizations more effective and efficient
  • Lead workshops that find ways to make procurement and supply chain and client processes more efficient
  • Manage project scope, timeline and deliverables
  • Be ready to rack up those air miles with client visits Monday to Friday

Job Qualifications

Here's what you need:
  • At least 5 years' experience working in sourcing and procurement
  • At least 5 years' working as a consultant
  • At least 3 years' experience contributing to Solution Sales
  • At least 3 years of Resources (Utilities/Energy/Mining) and Heavy Industry experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus points if:
  • You've got great data and analytics skills
  • You can spot where to find new value in supply chain and procurement, and explain it simply
  • You know how to run strategic cost takeout projects
  • You know your way around procurement tools like Ariba, Coupa, and Ivalua
  • You're as good at communicating ideas and plans (in person and in writing) as you are at slicing and dicing data
  • French language is an asset.
