Job Brief

Lead and manage the America's Procurement function, ensuring a high performing team, delivering on cost effective solutions, balancing internal requirements with supply market capability.

What You'll Do

As a Sourcing Manager, you will lead and manage the America's Procurement function, ensuring a high performing team, delivering on cost effective solutions, balancing internal requirements with supply market capability and risk. Other duties include:
  • Effectively support procurement functions for operational & manufacturing sites across North America through leading the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, procurement processes, negotiation and management of supply and service contracts for ongoing operational expenses
  • Establish a baseline and conduct opportunity analysis to identify and evaluate projects that drive substantial cost savings and long-term value improvements. Develop and implement project plans, including key deliverables, metrics, and milestones.
  • Lead the development and negotiation of complex product and service agreements with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with service requirements, product specifications, and functional objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and other applicable procurement regulations to sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, contract formation, and supplier management activities involving US government or defense related contracts.
  • Manage continuity of supply of designated materials to manufacturing sites while driving cost effectiveness and value.
  • Identify, develop, and foster strategic business relationships to create opportunities and gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
  • Maintain and provide a current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners and incorporate these best practices into business processes where appropriate.
  • Measure, assess and manage the overall performance of the supplier network within the field of expertise.
  • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies, and work collaboratively with team members to prioritize options and ensure effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior functional leaders to establish short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Implement process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Manage governance and control programs to ensure supply continuity and comply with corporate and regulatory policies.
  • Guide the selection, development, and management of strategic suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals.
  • Interpret and monitor current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges. Guide an agile response to these challenges to ensure business continuity.


What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Chemical, Mechanical or other Engineering, ideally with a manufacturing, construction or chemicals focus
  • MBA or equivalent experience, Procurement, Sourcing or Finance Specialization preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in Contract and Supplier Management, Project management and/or Strategic Sourcing in a large complex organization, ideally with a manufacturing focus.
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams, often spanning several geographical locations.
  • Detailed Knowledge & understanding of contract development & management
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), U.S Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and other applicable procurement regulations to sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, contract formation, and supplier management activities involving US government or defense related contracts
  • Strategic negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier engagement
  • Clear understanding of relevant supply markets
