Full Job Description
About the role

As a Solutions Engineer focused on Trovata TMS, you are the technical and functional center of gravity in our enterprise sales process. You translate complex treasury requirements into clear, compelling demonstrations of what Trovata's next-generation treasury operating system can do - and you do it with confidence, precision, and depth.

You will work directly with enterprise prospects, strategic partners, and existing customers - running discovery, building custom demos, leading technical workshops, and owning RFP responses. You sit at the intersection of sales, product, and implementation, and your work directly shapes how Trovata wins in the market.

What you'll do

Pre-sales & demos

  • Speak knowledgeably to Trovata's underlying technical architecture - including our AWS-native cloud infrastructure and use of best-in-breed AI models - when engaging technical evaluators, IT, and security stakeholders during the sales cycle.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand treasury workflows, pain points, bank connectivity requirements, and system architecture.
  • Build and deliver tailored product demonstrations of Trovata TMS - covering cash positioning, forecasting, payments, bank connectivity, and reporting.
  • Configure demo environments to reflect prospect-specific scenarios, including multi-entity structures, multi-currency requirements, and ERP integrations.
  • Present to audiences ranging from treasury analysts to CFOs and boards - adapting depth and framing to each.

Workshops & technical engagements

  • Design and facilitate pre-sales workshops to map customer processes to Trovata TMS capabilities.
  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, defining success criteria, managing execution, and presenting outcomes.
  • Partner with implementation and customer success teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to onboarding.

RFPs & competitive positioning

  • Own RFP and RFI responses for Trovata TMS, coordinating inputs across product, legal, and security to produce accurate, compelling submissions on deadline.
  • Serve as the go-to voice on infrastructure, security, and AI-related RFP and security-questionnaire content - accurately representing Trovata's AWS cloud architecture, data security posture, and use of best-in-breed AI models, in partnership with engineering and security teams.
  • Maintain and continuously improve a library of RFP content, standard responses, and security questionnaire answers.
  • Develop deep competitive fluency - articulating Trovata's differentiation versus legacy TMS vendors and emerging platforms clearly and credibly.

Cross-functional impact

  • Feed structured product feedback from the field into the product team - translating prospect requirements into actionable input.
  • Contribute to go-to-market materials including demo scripts, solution briefs, and battle cards.
  • Mentor and support Account Executives on technical qualification, solution framing, and deal strategy.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and AI/ML systems - particularly AWS-native architectures and best-in-breed foundation models - sufficient to speak credibly with technical evaluators and security teams about how Trovata's infrastructure and AI capabilities compare to legacy, on-premise TMS platforms.
  • Ability to articulate Trovata's security, scalability, and AI-driven automation posture - including our AWS cloud architecture and industry-leading use of best-in-breed AI models - to IT, security, and infrastructure stakeholders during technical evaluations.
  • 5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or treasury/fintech consulting - with direct exposure to treasury management systems or cash management platforms.
  • Hands-on familiarity with TMS platforms (e.g., Kyriba, FIS Integrity, ION, GTreasury, or similar) - enough to speak credibly about configuration, workflows, and limitations.
  • Deep understanding of treasury operations: cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, bank connectivity (SWIFT, BAI2, MT940), payments, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to run enterprise discovery, build tailored demos, and present complex solutions to senior financial stakeholders.
  • Strong RFP writing and project management skills - comfortable owning multi-workstream submissions under tight timelines.
  • Clear, confident communication - written and verbal - with the ability to simplify technical depth without losing precision.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) in a treasury or finance context.
  • Familiarity with API-based bank connectivity and financial data normalization.
  • Background in fintech, banking technology, or enterprise SaaS sales engineering.
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation or equivalent treasury finance credential.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) or enterprise AI/ML platforms, including exposure to leading foundation models and responsible AI governance practices.

Benefits

  • Compensations - Base salary of $129,000-$187,500, plus a 20% OTC (target on-target earnings of approximately $155,000-$225,000). Final compensation within this range may be determined by factors including relevant experience, qualifications and location.
  • Equity - All Trovata employees receive an equity grant as part of their offer. We share grant size and valuation context during the process, so you can evaluate the full package with real numbers, not vague promises.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Flexible, remote-first work environment
  • Flexible PTO and Accrued Sick Leave
  • Parental Leave
  • 13 Paid holidays
  • Home office stipend
  • Phone and Internet Stipend
  • Opportunity to shape the GTM motion for a next-generation treasury platform at a critical growth stage
